Astros Drafts in Review- 2001-2003

Less than two weeks until the draft(June 5-6)

Continue to look at who still remains of who the Astros took:

2001
No draftees from 2001 are still in the system, however,
Chris Burke was traded as part of the Juan Valverde deal
Matt Albers was given up as part of the deal to get Miguel Tejada

2002
Raymar Diaz, P. Diaz was a sign and follow, who started professionally in 2003. He is currently at Salem.
Ryan McKeller, P. McKeller was another sign and follow. He is currently at Corpus Christi.
Mark McClemore, P. McClemore spent most of 2007 in Houston. He is currently disabled.
Jared Gothreaux, P. Gothreaux is with Round Rock.

One interesting draft pick from 2002 is Adam Seuss. He was traded for Dan Wheeler, who in turn was traded for current Astro Ty Wigginton. Seuss was suspended for a while and also returned to the Houston system for a few seasons.

2003
Josh Muecke, P. Muecke has been impressive at Round Rock this year as a starter.
Edwin Maysonet, IF. He starts regularly at Round Rock.
Mark Saccomanno, IF. He is in his second Round Rock season.

Josh Anderson was drafted in 2003 and traded for Oscar Villarreal.
