Lexington pitcher Anthony Bello was placed on the disabled list.
To replace Bello, Thomas Vessella was called up from Extended Spring Training. Vessella was drafted in 2006 out of Whittier College. He spent last year at Tri-City, pitching 72 innings in 15 starts, posting a 4.63 ERA.
Salem outfielder Orlando Rosales was called up to Corpus Christi. He takes the roster spot of Bud Norris, who is disabled with elbow problems.
