Chad Wagler, pitcher, joined Salem from the disabled list. The right-handed pitched out of Lexington's bullpen in 2007 going 90 1/3 innings, saving five games and posting a 5.08 ERA in 45 appearances. Wagler injured his toe during spring training.
To make room for Wagler, David Qualben has been demoted to Lexington. Qualben had a 6.81 ERA for Salem in eight starts. He pitched 35 2/3 innings and allowed 48 hits.
Reid Kelly has been placed on Lexington's disabled list to make room for Qualben. Kelly has made 12 relief appearances for the Legends. In 23 2/3 innings he has allowed 23 hits, walked 10 and struck out 27. His ERA is 3.80.
Another note, according to a note in Baseball America from Brian McTaggart outfielder Josh Flores will not play at all this season. He had ACL surgery in February.
