Busy Off-season on tap for Jason Castro

Although he won't be playing at Minute Maid Park this September, the off-season looks to be a busy one for Corpus Christi catcher Jason Castro. As reported earlier, Castro will be representing the USA in the Baseball World Cup in Europe. That tournament begins September 9, two days after the Hooks season ends, and runs through September 27. Following his time in Europe, Castro will be heading to Arizona to participate in the Arizona Fall League. I haven't found a 2009 schedule for Arizona, but last season's games got started October 7 and ran through the middle of November.
