According to Astros.com Corpus Christi outfielder Mitch Einertson has been suspended for a second violation of MLB's substance abuse policy. The 50-game suspension will carry over into the 2010 season. Einertson, who is in his second season with Corpus Christi, becomes a free agent after this season.
An update on Einertson. His suspension was for recreational drug use and not performance ehancing drugs.
He has been replaced on the Hooks' roster by Corpus Christi veteran Ray Sadler.
