Farmstros Opening Day Thread

Thanks for Following the Astros of the Future with us...

Four games are on tap today from Kentucky to Califoria:

6:05 (Houston Time) Tanner Bushue takes the hill for Lexington at Charleston, South Carolina. The Legends take on the Yankees affiliate to start the season. Last year's first round pick and Farmstros Pre-Season Player of the year Jio Mier should be at Shortstop for Lexington. Keith Elkins makes the call for the Legends here.

7:00 Jason Castro continues his climb to Minute Maid Park when the Round Rock Express takes the field in New Orleans. Josh Banks is slated to start. Mike Capps makes the call for Round Rock.

7:05 The Hooks outfield of Jack Shuck, Jon Gaston, and T.J. Steele helps Tulsa open a brand new stadium. Sergio Perez will start for the Hooks. Matt Hicks makes the call for Corpus Christi.

9:15 Lancaster wraps up the night with a game in Bakersfield against the Rangers affiliate. How will Jay Austin do in High A. Will balls keep flying in California.
Jeff Lasky makes the call for the JetHawks.

The Astros are off Thursday, so it's all about the Farmstros on Opening Day. Pick your game or two. Listen in and talk to other Farmstros Fans about it.

NOTE: Due to family activities, I won't join the conversation until around 9:30. Sometime after 10:00, I will be posting a Farmstros Twitter-ku, officially launching THE QUEST FOR 3000 SYLLABLES.

JetHawks are having some technical difficulties, but I can hear Lasky now. Jay Austin leading off. By the way, it looked like Bushue was solid for Lexington one hit in 4 1/3 IP. Any idea if he got hurt?

Jose Lopez had a seizure during JetHawk practice today. He is the same guy who suffered an aneurysm (sp?) last spring training. Hope he is okay.
