Macdonald is Back

According to Baseball America's latest transaction listing, James Macdonald is active again in the Astros organization. The 23 year old right-handed pitcher was drafted by the Astros in 2009. He spent 2009 with Tri-City, where he posted a 2.53 ERA in 32 innings. Prior to the 2010 season, it was reported that Macdonald was retiring to pursue a journalism career.
