Despite only having four hits in the top of the first inning of their game against the Mets today, the GCL Astros scored 10 runs before the inning was through. Four of the Astros who came to the plate in the frame reached on walks, two were hit by pitches and one reached on a wild pitch after a strikeout.
Jason Bourgeois, rehabbing in Florida, walked and singled in the first inning, scoring twice. Chris Epps walked and hit a three-run homer that plated the eighth, ninth and tenth runs. The Astros went on to win the game 17-11.
