When Jarred Cosart packed his bags for Corpus Christi, he remembered to pack his scoreless innings streak. Cosart, who the Astros acquired in the Hunter Pence trade, allowed only two hits and faced one batter over the minimum in his six-inning Hooks debut Tuesday night in San Antonio. Cosart hadn't allowed a run in his final 9 1/3 innings pitched for the Clearwater Threshers prior to being traded.
The Houston native will not have allowed a run in 15 1/3 innings when he makes his next scheduled start: Sunday at Whataburger Field against Midland.
