More Van Dealin' in Mexico

After today's outing in Mexico, Andy Van Hekken a 3-0 record with an microscopic ERA of 0.43 this October as a representative of Team USA. Van Hekken did not allow a hit until there were two outs in the fifth inning against the Dominican Republic. He finished his outing with six hits and two unearned runs allowed in seven innings as the United States romped 20-2 in their first game of the Pan Am Games. Van Hekken should next be in line to pitch Tuesday in the Gold or Bronze Medal Game of the competition. He picked up two wins during the United States run to a Bronze Medal of the Baseball World Cup in Panama earlier this month.

NOTE: Thanks to the author of Team USA's Twitter feed(USABaseball) who coined the phrase, "Van Dealin'".
