Towles Chances of Going to the Hall of Fame Increase

When J.R. Towles signed a minor league deal with Minnesota on Thursday, he increased his chances of going to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2012. Towles received a non-roster invite to the Twins big league Spring Training; however, if he ends up in AAA for the Twins, he will be playing his home games in Rochester, New York. Rochester is approximately a three-hour drive from Cooperstown, New York, the home of Baseball's Hall of Fame. The Red Wings have a home off-day scheduled for April 23, 2012, which may make a road trip to Cooperstown a possibility.
