Correa and Ruiz are Done in Florida
2012 Draft Picks Carlos Correa and Rio Ruiz have been promoted to Greeneville from the Gulf Coast League Astros. According to a tweet by the Greeneville Astros, the pair of prospects will be in uniform for the club's game at Princeton Saturday night. Greeneville has 17 regular season games remaining. They are currently one-half game out of a play-off spot. Correa, the first over-all pick in the June draft, was 36 for 155 in Florida. He had 11 doubles, one triple, two home runs, nine RBI and five stolen bases. Ruiz, a fourth round selection, batted .271 in the Gulf Coast League. He was 23 for 85 with eight doubles, two triples, and 11 RBI.
