#2 Carlos Correa SS 6'4" 190 18 yrs old
If you didn't like Correa going #1 of the 2012 draft, then we aren't
Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about why I love Correa. Offensively he has a nice smooth swing that will translate into power as he fills out. Correa could outgrow the shortstop position, but I've come to terms with that. Look at the kids hands.....they are gigantic!
I can honestly see him being Giancarlo big (though he did lose weight during the season). Defensively, Correa is quick enough and has a good enough glove to stick at SS. He also has more than enough arm to play SS. All things considered this guy could be a perennial all star. He has power to all fields, and he is still learning his body. Correa has a smooth swing and great balance at the plate. His pitch recognition will get better as he get more experience. Carlos will start at Quad Cities, and I imagine the Astros won't rush him.
